PSI - Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) Data Collection

An HCBS Final Rule requirement modification refers to a change or exception to the standard requirements of the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Final Rule, which mandates that Medicaid beneficiaries receive services in settings that are integrated into the community. These modifications are permissible only when justified by a specific, individualized assessed need and documented in the person-centered service plan.

This In service will cover START (Systematic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resources and Treatment), an evidence-based model that provides crisis response, crisis mitigation, and services to the system providing support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring behavioral/mental health needs. CA START Lanterman will provide an overview of START services, when and how to make a referral to START, and what one might expect from START services.
